We had the $35 City Harvest lunch, of which $5 went to charity, so the price was right, but I wasn't too enthusiastic about the food.
The starter was a fairly good minced tuna marinated in oil and layered with baby endive leaves. My main course was a hunk of unseasoned, chewy, white, broiled bass laced with a net of dark gray veins, with a salty and light chicken-based broth ladled over it and pieces of boiled tomato and cilantro - I got bored with that. The dessert was the best part - a trio of lemon, banana, and chocolate sorbets served with a pair of very buttery butter cookies.
Service was either well-bred or snooty, depending on how you look at it - they insisted that I sit at the farthest end of the table because of my gender, and I just can't feel comfortable with that.
At the end of the day I would rather go to Fleur de Sel, or at least the Minnow, any day.
