I could go on about how this is MY FAVORITE COMIC BOOK OF ALL TIME (surpassing Nemo, Trondheim, Gloeckner, Huizenga, etc.) and its incredible eerie portrayal of the symbolic dream-life of the child narrator, etc., but I think maybe I can just impress you with the fact that it motivated me to pull out an ancient scanner from its grave in the closet. . . .

1. I read the first volume in 2003 and thought it was amazing, but didn’t know when volume 2 was coming out. So it’s a one book deal? Gotta check it out.
